The Cars and Tracks Development Project is having their eighth birthday today and to celebrate with the community, the team has released a beta of their Bahrain International Circuit 2.0.
Version 1.0 of the Bahrainian Grand Prix venue has been released precisely three years ago, the new version takes the track to a whole new level, including new textures, shaders and additional layouts such as the one used by the Australian V8 Supercar series.

Designed by Herman Tilke, Bahrain International is 5.4 kilometer track that has hosted the first ever Formula One Grand Prix in the Middle East, it has been a F1 venue since 2004. The GP layout includes 15 turns and three high-speed straights. Besides Formula One, the track has hosted the FIA GT, Australian V8 Supercars as well as its own 24 hour race in 2006.

Have to say I loathed this track when it first debuted. (The real one.) But it’s grown on me over the years.
Since I’ve got RF reinstalled these days I shall give this a go.
