CSGT has released a new version of their Holiday Preview mod, giving us a taste of their massive World Sportscar 1970 mod for rFactor.
The mod includes eight cars spread out in three different classes (Prototype 2000, Grand Touring 2000 & Grand Touring 5000), including famous cars such as the Porsche 910, the Chevron B16 and the Porsche 911. The cars are fully RealFeel compatible and have accurate physics based on 1970 technology, resulting in tires with less grip, less downforce and less effective brakes compared to modern race cars.
Furthermore, the mod includes beta versions of the 1970 editions of Sebring, Daytona and Le Mans – Giving us proper historic tracks to race these legendary cars on.
The full version of the mod will include well over 100 cars from what is considered to be one of the finest years in endurance racing history.

This sort of thing makes me angry–MOST of these cars are already available in Historic GT & TC… I’m sure this mod is top notch, and I’ll probably install it for fun, but I always wonder why modders like this don’t band together to release them with similar mods. Why not add this to HGT&TC? That would be amazing!
Anyway, I’m sure the mod is excellent and I look forward to trying it.

i believe these cars are all scratch made by the modder, so give em credit. It will be tough tho for this mod since it will be compared to historix.

Oh I give credit where it’s due, the mod is great. I just wonder at the timing and release of it, is all.
