Croft for rFactor 2 – Moving Leaves Preview Video

feels3 has released a new preview video of his well-progressing Croft track for rFactor 2, one of the first scratch-made tracks for the new simulation.

The short video shows us a first glimpse of the moving leaves effect, one of the plenty stunning features this carefully-made track will come with.

Located in Dalton-on-Tees in North Yorkshire, England, Croft is a popular British motor racing circuit. Located on a former Royal Airforce airfield, the track is 3.4 kilometers long and includes 12 turns. Croft hosts both four and two wheel racing, including the British Touring Car Championship and British Superbikes.

Sorry, video has been removed by feels3:

Hi guys.

I’m sorry that I changed video to private but it was very low quality and contains only few seconds of testing.
I didn’t thought that someone will publish it as news of the Croft.

I’m not even sure if it will be in the final version.
This is my first circuit and most of the time I spend on testing and learning.
Movable leaves was one of my tests.

The good news is that everything what I will learn during build the Croft I will use on my next tracks which I’m planning to create in 2012/2013.

I know mate. I saw this video just after posted, but now is locked for private viewing. You can ask the author for further infos.

BTW the video show a very short clip in developing mode with the test car colliding a leave on tarmac surface and it nicely moves. This is a very smart way to use the new mass/inertia properties of rF2, but there are some limitations to investigate. Cheers.

When i posted it yesterday, it was public.  For some reason its now set to private.
(seems useless to do that, but i guess the author will have his reasons.)

Thanks for info. Great news you will do several tracks in 2012 and 2013. Your Croft is already looking very nice. :)
