Physics look awesome, still I think the car is a bit too fast. It looks like it goes like a GT2 racing car on the track, not like a roadcar Vette :).

The thing is this car IS absurdly fast, its literally one of the very few fastest cars in the world; there are many cars that cost 3times as much and are slower. Well, at least on nordschleife. http://www.fastestlaps.com/tracks/nordschleife.html
Lets not forget the ZR1 model is much faster than “normal” C6 corvette.

I partly agree. Yes the Vette is a very quick car, but the main reason why it is up there in front of Gumperts and Paganis is, that these highly expensive cars are never driven at the limit there, because the car could end up in a much too expensive fireball. I know the TopGear Testtrack isn’t a reference point to the Nordschleife, but the argument of “the driver wasn’t trying hard enough” doesn’t exist there unlike it is on the Nordschleife. On most tracks in the world with Clubsport Events or Trackdays the normal C6 is just a midfielder between all these Sportscars ;). This is mainly down to its suspension from the middle-ages…

But as I said, the Physics look quite stunning in the video, the car seems to do all the stuff you know from public onboard videos around the ring.

I agree with you as well that nordschleife times are not that reliable comparisons, too few laps done and drivers don’t always push at limit. But I still believe ZR1 is faster than most supercars on any track.
Again, I only talk about ZR1, which is so MUCH faster than C6.

I don’t think a GT2 car would be sliding that much down Hatzenbatch or going sideways as it goes under the bridge at Aremberg.  

Too much tire squealing for my taste. Tire squealing appears not even when he is really steering. Hopefully it´s not related to the grip level/ behaviour, because it sounds wrong.

The physics all in all looks pretty good.

 Yes that is a problem. Noise starts too soon but doesn’t increase in loudness when you increase slip. I can have it change pitch, which sounds a little odd, but then at least the skid sound is more variable. Not sure what we’ll do here in the end..

 Don’t forget Siim, he’s been totally redoing the 3D models and interiors. There wouldn’t be a reason to do 4.0 if it wasn’t for both of us doing big updates :)

 The ZR1 and the Z06 (both can come with Michelin Cup tires, as do some other supercars) are usually about the fastest road cars on a circuit. It is difficult to drive without driving aids but really very fast. The suspension isn’t from the middle ages too, thats Top Gear having no clue what they are saying! :-) It has double wishbone suspension front and rear, and the transverse leaf spring is actually a neat idea, it may be lighter and its definitely lower in the car. Sure its old style big v8, big manual gearbox, but thats arguably more pure than the dual clutch cars. At some point real cars will become arcade and the hardcore will only be available in simulators (that is a joke!) :-)
