Com8 Nordschleife 2009 – Preview Video

Following plenty of preview screenshots, Com8 has now released a first video of his Nürburging Nordschleife 2009 project for GTR Evolution and rFactor.

Based on the original Simbin version, his 2009 version will contain many changes such as new textures, the removal of all fictional advertisement boards and lots of trackside objects.

New features include the layout used for the Nürburgring 24 Hour race as well as new bumps and shadows. The track will be available both for GTR Evolution and rFactor, the latter version will come with a GTR Evolution DVD check to make it comply with Simbin’s community rules.

Until it’s released, you can enjoy a full lap on the 24h layout by watching the video below.

Very well made, track and outside the track. The best Nordschleife Ive seen so far.

Great looking textures. But the track is hardly recognisable. Looks so wide… it’s like a motorway. The rf 2007 version delivers the ‘tunnel’ effect so much better.

no, new bumps are not in the video – but as i type i am implementing real modeled bumps into the track – you know, all the dips and bumps that make the ring the most dangerous track in the world

the vid was made with a fov of about 45 which is pretty “zoomed in” and makes the track seem wider than it actually is

great work, love the new kerbs and more shadows feature looks promising. The track imho looks wide mostly because of the fov and too small trees that simbin used.

Fantastic work, Com8. You’re giving the lifeless Evo-Nordschleife a more realistic feeling. The shadows at the beginning of the track are great. I hope, there will be some more in the final version.

First of all this doesent look like work of real Com8 who made this almost perfect http://www.vtc-racing.com/downloads.php?view=detail&df_id=28
I did 10 laps on real nordschleife in Z4 3.0 si and all i can tell Nordschleife The Ring 2007 2.2a for rFactor is the closest onte to the real.

If anyone compare any onboard video from the real NS you’d notice that this is shitty watered-down simbin arcade version and doesn’t have any relations with the real track except the number of turns. Even on a first view you’ll notice that all elevations are wrong, track is tooooooooooooooooooooooo wide. Try http://www.vtc-racing.com/downloads.php?view=detail&df_id=28 for rfactor

After that some Einstein will convert the Nordschleife from Shift, and we will get another cool version :)

Why this kind of comments? Autumn version is simply beautiful, is really nice to drive on it, specially if you’re simulating for example a real VLN event in Autumn. Winter version is funny

With WSC mod and hopefully Enduro’s mods would it be possible to make a shortcut for nordschleife version? The others have one i know from the new track how about a road to the last checkpoint 2mins is fine
