After being busy with other track projects for quite a while, Com8 has released some new previews of a very much anticipated track for rFactor – The Nürburgring Nordschleife 2009.
Based on the original Simbin version, Com8’s 2009 version will contain many changes such as new textures & shaders, remodelled curbs, the removal of all fictional advertisement boards and lots of trackside objects.
New features include the layout used for the Nürburgring 24 Hour race as well as new bumps and shadows. The track will be available both for GTR Evolution and rFactor, the latter version will come with a GTR Evolution DVD check to make it comply with Simbin’s community rules.

Is there a chance to get a layout used for road car lap records? I mean the incomplete lap with the start line at the Hatzenbach and the finish line under the 1st bridge at the Dottinger.

Well, I don’t know how it works, it just does.
The same with VLN 2005 mod, it uses several GTR Evolution models, and has a DVD check, which includes steam version – I believe they work the same.

Awesome, amazing, fantastic, other nice words. This looks like a proper green hell – claustrophobic and… green.

What a pleasure to see that this project is still alive! I’ll reinstall GTR Evo just to pass the DVD-Check! ^^

I’m pretty sure that all you’ll need to do is insert the disc.

Yes, that’s right. I wrote that I’ll have to reinstall it because I have the Steam version, so the “dvd-check” will need to find the game on my HD, as I don’t have a physical DVD.

Yes please do a conversion for GTR2. GTR Evo gets serious lag for me in Win7. It runs okay in WinXP but I still get occasional stutters (restarting helps). I have a Q9550 and a GTX275 and it should run fine but GTR2 runs without any of these problems. I’d like to not have to boot up Win XP just to play my favorite track if possible. Thank you if you can help.

Oh yes by the way I would gladly pay for this conversion to GTR2 so if you have a paypal account I will donate $30 when I download it.
