Clubsport Pedals – Production Started

Fanatec recently announced that the production of their highly anticipated Clubsport Pedals has started. Below is a picture of production, showing a mouth-watering amount of pedal sets in the factory.

The Clubsport Pedals are compatible to any name-brand steering wheel and feature some unique and interesting features like brake pedal vibration feedback, a full feature list can be found below.

Features:

  • Solid aluminum construction which feels like in a real race car
  • Original dimensions and proportions
  • Distance between pedal plates can be adjusted to allow heel&toe technique
  • Height of pedal plates can be adjusted to match foot size
  • Spring strength can be adjusted on gas and clutch
  • Vibration feedback motor on brake pedal to indicate blocking tires.
  • The driver software calculates this moment based on the telemetry data received from the games.
  • Contactless magnetic high-precision sensor on gas and brake with unlimited lifetime
  • Pressure sensitive load cell sensor on the brake. Control the brake force with muscle tension instead of movement
  • Realistic brake pedal dampening created by special PU foam made in Germany and used in the car industry in shock absorbers. Ultra strong and smooth.
  • Adjust the maximum brake force with a rotary switch on the pedals and independent from software. Choose from very soft to super heavy.
  • Possibility to mount the pedals directly to a cockpit

The pedals sell for $199 and will ship in April. Interested Europeans can get their example here while North American sim racers can pre-order here.

These pedals look amazing! I’ve got my modded G25 pedals working great, but I think the pedals themselves are too small. I think the vibration feedback on the pedals sounds really interesting.

Good conversion rate 199&=199 Eur :))

Unfortunately it seems the GT3 RS wheel with Clubman pedals has been delayed for another month. :(

Says “delayed for another month”, but then it says end of February allthough the message was posted yesterday.

Lol, I mistyped the name of the pedals – it’s Clubsport of course. ;)

The pedals will be available at the end of april in europe and not in march as previously announced.

I placed my order last week and was hoping to get my set before Easter, but doesn’t seem like it just now.

I think I’ll wait for some reviews of the production units – but they look great, the spec list is fantastic and the price really is an absolute steal.

  • AS-GTR

Any chance of shipping it to Hong Kong? The spec alone is tempting.

Hope it won’t be another $199 to ship it here though..

What are the dimensions? I couldn’t find them on your website. eg. width, depth, height. Thanks. Also, will the pedals adjust to a straight up vertical position (90 degrees). I have a Hyperstimulator chassis, so my seating position is F1 style. My feet will be pushing accross horizontaly, towards the pedals instead of from above to down at 45 degrees. Thanks Fanatec. p.s. really looking forward to your GT3 RS FFB wheel as well as to your gorgeous looking Rennsport chassis!

    No go with iRacing?

And can you attach them to Playseat Evo?

  • fpol

No reason it won’t work with iRacing since it can be used stand alone. i currently have a G25, BSD pedals, and Act Labs H-shift all as 3 different controllers. What you wouldn’t get from iRacing would be support for the telemetry brake feedback.

Does anyone know what resolution these pedals operate at? 512 steps (like a stock G25) isn’t really acceptable. If it’s 1024 steps, i think I’m grabbing a set to hold me over until i buy a CST.

It is 10 bit external (1024) and 11 bit internal.

    @ Cristi Rus

Here is the answer I got from Fanatec about the conversion rate:
“you could not compare the Fanatec_Gameshop prices in USD and Euro. The USD prices are only valid for shipments within the USA and from the USA to Canada. For deliveries within Europe we have to charge the German VAT of 19 % by law. This may explain the price difference.”

    @Fanatec

That’s very good news Fanatec. Thank you for your decision to go 10 bit!
It’s a pity the production is delayed to the end of April though.

  • ermax18

Fanatec, you said 8bit last time this question came up. Did the spec change for the production unit? Having upgraded my 8bit G25 pedals to a 11bit Leo controller and I can confirm that there is in fact a noticeable difference. And no it isn’t the placebo effect. I switch between the 8bit and 11bit controller several times to confirm.
