Clio Cup 2008 – Physic Test Video

Posted on June 18th, 2009 in

Tomaz Stravs and eddy3spain have released a new video of their Renault Clio Cup 2008 mod for rFactor, showing a physic test with the new car, featuring some spectacular driving.

The Clio Cup utilises a cup racing version of the Renault Clio Sport, powered by two-litre 16 valve engine putting out more than 200hp and a six-speed sequential gearbox. The mod will contain cars from several European Clio Cups, including the 2006-2008 Spanish Clio Cup and 2008 French Clio Cup seasons as well as several fantasy skins.

Wasn’t expecting such spectacular video! The editing and the music were in pure harmony. Reminds me a lot of those classic Saab adverts actually. I will definitely be checking out the mod when it’s released in respect of what I just saw.

There is an error in this video, in small French cars you DON’T actually need the handbrake, because of lift off oversteer. I rallied and raced Renault Super 5 cars on amateur level and even low power ‘grocery getter’ versions have no big problems with going sideways all the time on all surfaces. All it takes is a good driver, Zbigniew Szwagierczak (7 times Polish racing and hill climb champion) used my car for a little drift session on Poznan kart track… I was giggling like a little girl from the right seat. :sd:

Wow! If u tried that with most cars in rFactor & most other sims, it would end up very very wrong! Im not really into hot hatch mods but will give this some time.

What is the track or tracks, a rally stage I guess?
