Check Out A New DRM Revival Wallpaper

The DRM Revival mod is surely on the shortlist of most-expected modding releases this year as Assetto Corsa users can expect a quality addition to their game.

To shorten the waiting time, the DRM Modding Team has now released a new wallpaper, featuring the mod’s detailed car models.

Included Models

Kremer K1
Kremer K3
Schnitzer 320 Turbo
Schnitzer 2002 Turbo
Schnitzer M1 Turbo
Schnitzer Celica LB Turbo
Beta Montecarlo Turbo
Zakspeed Capri Turbo
Zakspeed Escort Turbo
Carma 308 Turbo

Based on Germany’s hugely popular Deutsche Rennsport Meisterschaft series that had its heyday in the late 70s and early 80s, the mod became an instant favorite on rFactor due to the attention to detail and the spectacular sounds, so Assetto Corsa users can look forward to a must-download addition to their simulation.

DRM Revival for Assetto Corsa is expected to be released sometime in 2017.

But he’s got a point there!

Would be great to have a really high res version of this artwork, to print on it poster size. Brings back loads of great memories.

I might as well quit my job when it comes out.

The more I play rF2, the more I now understand why DRM is going to be much better in Assetto Corsa now. It all boils down to AI. The AI in rF2 is frankly atrocious. Complete lack of spatial awareness and they have little regard for where the player is on track. Do they even move aside on their out-laps for hot-lapping cars ?

The latest Assetto Corsa AI far far outshines that of rF2 in my opinion.
Another point is that it seems only Automobilista (dunno about iRacing) is the only sim that can show you green and purple sector times as you’re lapping in practice or quali. With Automobilista, I can’t remember if the sector times shown are against you or the current quickest car. rF2, AC and RRRE don’t do it by default which is an astonishing omission in the world of motor racing. I exclude RRRE because I’m not seeing that it does it against the fastest car of the session. So I can get purples in all sectors and still not be quickest. Dunno if there’s a way to change that.

I would be nice to actually see a feature complete sim (yes we all have our own interpretations of what that is) because I notice things in each sim that are noticeable by their absence (e.g. The inability to see list of the current session standings in RRRE on one screen).

I’m sure I’ll be corrected on some of this and I really hope I am because then that will mean I’ve missed something (or forgotten it 🙂 )

So yeah, a little rant there but the point is that right now I’m enjoying AC and it’s AI (despite that with AC there are no complete series’ to race with by default, just individual cars) and am very much looking fwd to DRM being on AC.
Talking of rF2… if Studio397 are listening… how about making rF2 task switchable like it used to be ? OK I’m done 🙂
