Aside from working on a 2008 version of the French Nogaro track for rFactor, Pixsim is also working on another, quite historical, French track – Charade.
Also known as the Circuit Clermont-Ferrand, the 8 kilometer track hosted four editions of the French Grand Prix. The challenging layout incorporated 48 turns, making it one of the hardest tracks in the world. Aside from real racing action, the track was also used to film parts of the legendary movie “Grand Prix”.
A much shorter, modern version of the track is still in operation, playing no role in international motorsports anymore though. Below are first previews of the virtual version, showing some very detailed buildings.

kakushi, who made the modern version for rfactor had a wip of this on rfactorcentral but I guess he stopped working at it, which was a shame. this is an amazing track and judging from how great the buildings look, it’s gonna be fun.

Kakushi = Pixsim now

That’s great news
I had converted the gpl clermont-ferrand for personal use and it’s the only straight conversion I play but I figured the real track is so great that it was worth it.
Your modern version was quite a good track back then but I can understand why you wouldn’t be satisfied with the look of that track when these previews look like v_lm quality. cheers

Lovely looking detail with the building.
If that’s the quality you’re looking to produce for your track then it will be a stunner
