United Racing Group has released new previews of their Super GT 2009 2.0 mod for GTR2 and rFactor, showing us the mod’s cars in the showroom.
Made by Alless & United Racing Group, the mod will bring all GT500 class cars of the 2009 Super GT season to rFactor and GTR2. That includes cars such as the Honda NSX, the Nissan R35 as well as the Lexus SC43 0,all battling for the title in Japan’s popular GT championship
Elwood and mad-horse have released a new version of their Varano de’Melegari track for rFactor and GTR2, further improving what already was one of the finest tracks for gMotor 2-based simulations.
The new version brings the track to 2009 spec, including plenty of new 3D objects, new shaders and textures as well as a new short layout.
Changelog:
- Massive updates of all 3D, textures and shaders/shading, all updated to 2009.
- Reduced big meshes with alpha channel used for transparency, less flickering with many mods .
- Fake ambient occlusion on terrain and buildings, using multimapping.
- Added some bumps and little elevation changes we forget to add in previous releases of Varano.
- Added Short layout, mainly used by Centro Internazionale Guida Sicura (CIGS, International Safe and Fast Driving School) .
- Removed the fantasy layout and all non real stuff.
- Removed invisible slowers inside chicane Ickx that caused some problems with cars with low ride-heights.
Also known as the Autodromo Riccardo Paletti, Varano de’Melegari is a 2.374 kilometer permanent road course, primarly used by smaller series and for track day events.

Fazerbox has released a map plugin for GTR2, adding a track map to the game’s HUD hat includes the position of all racing on the current track.

Simulationsfanatiker has now released first renders of the Nissan 370Z model that will soon make it into the mod, Nissan’s newest sports car made its VLN debut in the hands of British RJN Motorsports squad this season.
After bringing lots of new liveries to GTR Evolution, Moatlspeed has now put together a new pack for GTR2 by porting some of his popular Lamborghini Murcielago skins to the simulation.

Following a successful event in 2008, this year’s edition of the GTR2 Le Mans 24 Hour LAN racing event will kick of in Kolding (Denmark) on the weekend of October 24th/25th.

Scca1981 has released the 1969 Dodge Charger for the GTL GTR2 mod, adding a popular American muscle car to the mod.
Powered by a 425hp HEMI engine, the 1969 charger rose to fame in the TV show Dukes of Hazard which prominently featured a Charger called “General Lee”.
Important: To use this car, make sure to have the GTL-GTR2 mod installed.
Following versions for rFactor and GTR Evolution, FVRFactor’s V8 Supercar Series 2009 mod has now been released for GTR2, adding the exciting Australian championship to the simulation.

Powered by a 3.5 liter V6 engine, the 350Z was built from 2003 to 2009, being available both as coupe and roadster version. The car will be released for rFactor, GTR2 & GTR Evolution, the sounds will be made by GSMF’s Fonsecker.

iRacing has released first screenshots of Brands Hatch, the second European track to make it into their online racing simulation.
The shots show the track as it's currently undergoing the development process, including the laser-scanned surface and the buildings around the track's main straight.
