MMG is working on bringing their popular Formula One 2007 mod for rFactor to GTR Evolution and after a while with no news, here’s more on the project.
The team is busy finishing up the final tasks and currently expects the mod to be out in Q1 2010. A public beta of the mod can be tried on the Roma Games Festival (December 19/20th) so if you happen to live in Rome or nearby, you can take the mod for a spin there.
Below are four new previews, showing four different cars in action. The mod will bring all cars and drivers of the 2007 Formula One season to GTR Evolution, enriched with GTR Evolution-specific features like rain races and animated arms.
scca1981 has released a new version of his Porsche & Ferrari mod for GTR Evolution that adds the Porsche 997 GT3-RSR and the Ferrari F430 to the game’s GT class.
The new version makes the mod compatible to GTR Evolution installs with RACE On and introduces some other changes as listed below.

Originally made by Ibne for COLVIN35’s ALMS 2007 mod for GTR2, both cars are a valuable addition to the GT Sport class, using balanced physics for close racing against the other class entries. The mod includes 12 Porsche and 6 Ferrari skins from the 2007 and 2008 American Le Mans Series seasons, the cars are equipped with GTR Evolution-specific features such as working windscreen wipers and rainscreen.
Moatlspeed has put together another mixed skin pack for GTR Evolution, bringing plenty of real life-inspired skins to Simbin’s GT simulation.
The pack includes nine skins for the Aston Martin DBR9, the Lister Storm, the Saleen S7R, the Dodge Viper as well as the Mosler MT900R and the Seat Cupra GT.
Drees has released his Formula One 1993 carpack for GTR Evolution, turning the Formula 3000 class into a vintage Formula One season.
The pack includes all cars of the 1993 F1 season painted on the F3000 chassis, it comes with talent files and its own class so it won’t mix with GTR Evolution’s standard F3000 class.
Simulationsfanatiker & aleksss have released two new previews of their Nissan 350Z for GTR2, GTR Evolution & rFactor, showing the Japanese sports car with brand new shaders.
Powered by a 3.5 liter V6 engine, the 350Z was built from 2003 to 2009, being available both as coupe and roadster version. The car will be released for rFactor, GTR2 & GTR Evolution, the sounds will be made by GSMF’s Fonsecker.
Zand has released his FIA GT 2008 mod for GTR Evolution, bringing last year’s FIA GT Championship season to the simulation.
The mod contains all GT1 and GT2 class cars that competed in 2008, combining several mods that have been released for GTR Evolution before. Mods that have been used include the GTR2GT mod, the Porsche 997 & Ferrari F430, taku’s FIA GT skins and several other mods.
Also included in the comprehensive mod are talent files, correct helmets and driver suits and much more.
Alex Koda keeps on releasing high-quality skins in a very quick fashion, his newest pack brings some fresh color to GTR Evolution’s Corvette C6.R model.
That includes Corvette Racing’s 2009 American Le Mans Series livery as well as several Corvettes that have been racing in the 2009 FIA GT Championship and the Spa 24 hours.
Team LMT has released new preview material of their DTM 2009 mod for rFactor, showing the on-going progress with their touring car mod.
A new preview video shows the latest version of the mod in action at Zandvoort. Also, we get a look at the recently started Audi R8 pace car model.
While the team is still making progress on the mod’s rFactor version, Günthar Rowe is already busy converting the mod to GTR Evolution as the first preview shot below shows.
MMG has released new previews of their BTCC 1998 mod for GTR Evolution, showing us the Honda Accord model. The Honda was raced by various drivers in the 1998 season, including famous touring car racer James Thompson.
The mod will bring the 1998 season of the popular touring car series to the simulation, a season that is considered to be among the finest in history as notable manufacturers such as Honda, Peugeot, Ford, Volvo & Nissan fought for the British Touring Car title. The mod will feature an extensive damage model with many removable parts, certainly a good thing to have when it comes to world-class touring car racing.
Initially announced to be released just for GTR Evolution, MMG has announced that the mod will be making its way to rFactor 2 too.
Simbin has released the changelog for the recently-released update for RACE07 & GTR Evolution that brings the simulations to version 1.2.0.8
The most interesting change for RACE07 owners is that all features that have been introduced with GTR Evolution & STCC – The Game are now available in RACE07.
To retrieve the patch, simply start Steam and your installation will be updated. An offline-version of the patch is not yet available.

Yako has released a new version of XD, a tool that adds lots of useful information to the HUD of racing simulations like GTR2 & GTR Evolution.
XD displays all kinds of valuable data including temperatures, wear and advanced timing information. The displayed data can be customized as you wish as the tool includes a well documented .ini file with plenty of variables.
The new version comes with support for the newest RACE07 version as well as experimental support for rFactor.
Virtua_LM has released the Fuji Speedway for rFactor, adding a historical one of Japan's most important race tracks to the simulation.
Based on the version released for F1 Challenge, the track has been extensively modified and revamped to make most of rFactor's graphic engine. Included are the 1982, 1990 & 1993 layouts of the track as well as the 1993 bike configuration. GTL, GTR2 & GTR Evolution versions of this release will be coming up soon!

Reiza Studios Announce Formula Armaroli for rFactor
Back in December, a new simulation software studio opened its doors as Reiza Studios officially picked up business. Now, the studio has revealed their first project, announcing the Formula Armaroli race car for rFactor.
Made in co-operation with Armaroli Simulators, the Formula Armaroli car is a fictional open-wheel race car modelled after 80s Formula One machinery. The car weighs 540 kilos and is powered by a 650hp turbo engine, bringing some of the best action in Grand Prix history to the simulation.

rFactor 2 – Six User Interface Screenshots
Jessica, Darin & Shaun of InsideSimRacing.tv were recently joined by Image Space Incorporated's Gjon Camaj who visited the guys for an interview in an upcoming SRT episode.
ISI's head-honcho did not come empty-handed though as Camaj showed off rFactor 2's user interface for the very first time.

VLN 2009 by Team NLC – Massive Batch of Renders

F1 2010 – First Developer Video Trailer Released
As promised, Codemasters have just released the first of their developer diary videos, introducing us to some of their staff and showing off first-ever moving footage of F1 2010 for the PC, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.
