After being busy with other track projects for quite a while, Com8 has released some new previews of a very much anticipated track for rFactor – The Nürburgring Nordschleife 2009.

Based on the original Simbin version, Com8’s 2009 version will contain many changes such as new textures & shaders, remodelled curbs, the removal of all fictional advertisement boards and lots of trackside objects.

New features include the layout used for the Nürburgring 24 Hour race as well as new bumps and shadows. The track will be available both for GTR Evolution and rFactor, the latter version will come with a GTR Evolution DVD check to make it comply with Simbin’s community rules.

 

ZeZeZoom and kiwisteve have released a new version of their Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup for GTR Evolution, bringing the popular Formula One support series to the simulation.

The new version comes with improved physics, sounds, new fantasy skins and more. Make sure to read the included documentation to make most of this mod.

Following the release of the rFactor version two weeks ago, LcR has released the Autodromo di Franciacorta for RACE07/GTR Evolution and GT Legends.

The scratch-made track has been made with Bob’s Track Builder, textures have been supplied by well-known 2d artist culmone67.

Located in Itlay’s Lombardy region, the Autodromo di Franciacorta is 2.5 kilometers in length and a popular testing venue for many Italian car magazines and other club-level motorsport activity such as track days.

MMG has received permission to convert the highly-popular Renault Clio Cup 2008 mod for rFactor to GTR Evolution and released a new batch of previews, showing the French tin top in action in Simbin’s simulation.

Converted by MMG’s Günthar Rowe, the GTR Evolution version will contain extra skins painted by Doudousaxo.

The Clio Cup utilises a cup racing version of the Renault Clio Sport, powered by two-litre 16 valve engine putting out more than 200hp using a six-speed sequential gearbox.

 

As announced about a month ago, Simbin has released the 1.2.1.2 patch for their latest RACE On simulation title, fixing various small glitches and problems.

As usual with Simbin patches, this patch is also available to owners of RACE07, GTR Evolution & STCC – The Game as all titles will benefit from the improvements.

To update your title, simply start Stream to obtain the new version. An offline version of the patch is not yet available, you can find the full changelog below (you might have to click “Read More” to see it).

A month ago, Pixim has released two French tracks for rFactor, bringing Nogaro and Charade to the simulation. Now, Neel Jani has converted Charade to GTR2, GT Legends and RACE 07 while thierry81 has taken care of Nogaro.

Officially called Circuit Paul Armagnac, the track near Nogaro in south-western France was opened in 1960 and has hosted many notable events ever since. Current races hosted on the track include the FFSA GT championship as well as an annual FIA GT round.

Also known as the Circuit Clermont-Ferrand, Charade has hosted four editions of the French Grand Prix between 1965 and 1972 and also served as a filming location for the movie Grand Prix. Back in 1989, the nine kilometer circuit was shortened to four kilometers and has served as testing and racing school venue ever since. Despite playing no role in professional motor sports anymore, the track is still famous for bearing close resemblance to the Nürburgring Nordschleife in terms of challenge for the drivers.

Virtua_LM has released GT Legends, GTR2 and RACE07/GTR Evolution versions of their popular Rouen les Essarts track for rFactor, bringing the spectacular historic race track to Simbin’s most popular simulations.

The legendary French circuit is a high speed semi-permanent racetrack, famous for its fast sweeps and the brickyard hairpin. After a series of fatalities, the track has been out of operation for a long time now. Virtua_LM’s version both includes both the original 6.5 kilometer layout that was used until 1974 as well as the newer 5.5 kilometer version that was in operation until the track was closed in 1994.

Zand has released a new version of his FIA GT 2008 mod for GTR Evolution, fixing various issues with the mod’s innitial version as listed below.

Chagelog:

- Reduced install size and corrected online issues (Thanks to Günthar Rowe);
- Added missing helmets and suits;
- Added cockpit interior details;
- Corrected the MC12 and 575 GTC skins lack of detail bug;
- Corrected the 575 GTC damage bug;
- Corrected the Felbemeyr-IMSA Porsche link bug;
- Corrected the Dodge Viper GTS-R error (in reality Chrysler Viper GTS-R);
- Logos for STCC and GTR Evo Menus.

The mod contains all GT1 and GT2 class cars that competed in 2008, combining several mods that have been released for GTR Evolution before. Mods that have been used include the GTR2GT mod, the Porsche 997 & Ferrari F430, taku’s FIA GT skins and several other mods.

MMG is working on bringing their popular Formula One 2007 mod for rFactor to GTR Evolution and after a while with no news, here’s more on the project.

The team is busy finishing up the final tasks and currently expects the mod to be out in Q1 2010. A public beta of the mod can be tried on the Roma Games Festival (December 19/20th) so if you happen to live in Rome or nearby, you can take the mod for a spin there.

Below are four new previews, showing four different cars in action. The mod will bring all cars and drivers of the 2007 Formula One season to GTR Evolution, enriched with GTR Evolution-specific features like rain races and animated arms.

scca1981 has released a new version of his Porsche & Ferrari mod for GTR Evolution that adds the Porsche 997 GT3-RSR and the Ferrari F430 to the game’s GT class.

The new version makes the mod compatible to GTR Evolution installs with RACE On and introduces some other changes as listed below.

Originally made by Ibne for COLVIN35’s ALMS 2007 mod for GTR2, both cars are a valuable addition to the GT Sport class, using balanced physics for close racing against the other class entries. The mod includes 12 Porsche and 6 Ferrari skins from the 2007 and 2008 American Le Mans Series seasons, the cars are equipped with GTR Evolution-specific features such as working windscreen wipers and rainscreen.

Moatlspeed has put together another mixed skin pack for GTR Evolution, bringing plenty of real life-inspired skins to Simbin’s GT simulation.

The pack includes nine skins for the Aston Martin DBR9, the Lister Storm, the Saleen S7R, the Dodge Viper as well as the Mosler MT900R and the Seat Cupra GT.
