After months of waiting time and plenty of preview material, Turn 10’s Forza Motorsport 3 for Xbox 360 has finally hit the shelves.
With the exception of North American gamers who have to wait another two days, Forza Motorsport 3 is now available around the world, giving players the chance to race over 400 cars on a hundred tracks.
Below is a first bunch of preview images, VirtualR will be having a full review of Forza Motorsport 3 shortly.
Mercedes Benz and Polyphony Digital have released a new promo video, showing the Mercedes Benz SLS AMG coupe in Gran Turismo 5.
What’s most interesting about this video isn’t the car though as it briefly shows Gran Turismo 5’s packaging. Judging by the video, it looks like Gran Turismo 5 will be shipped in a massive box containing three Blu-Ray discs.
Given the fact that three single-layer Blu-Ray discs hold up to 75 gigabytes of data, it seems highly unlikely that GT5 will actually require this much space. The other two discs may very well be car videos or some other sort of promo material, it makes for an impressive looking package for sure though.
Turn 10 Studios, developers of Forza Motorsport 3 for Xbox 360, recently welcomed a famous guest in their studio as Stephane Sarrazin visited the team, sharing his input on the newest Forza title.

Gran Turismo 5 will be bringing 1000 cars and over 60 tracks to the Playstation 3, including new features such as damage, weather and day/night effects. The title has been announced to be released in March 2010 in Japan, dates for the US & Europe have not been given.
About two weeks ago, Black Bean Games announced that they´ve secured the World Rally Championship rights to bring a new WRC game to gaming consoles and the PC.
MCVuk.com reports that Black Bean Game’s first WRC title is set to arrive on the Playstation 3, the Xbox 360 and the PC in September 2010. The title will be developed by Milestone who claimed to want to match Codemasters’ recently-released Dirt 2 rally game. Given the fact that Dirt 2 isn’t exactly the most realistic rally title, it remains to be seen whether or not the new WRC title will be a true simulation that can replace the aging but still excellent Richard Burns Rally.
Either way, Black Bean Games effort will most likely not be a one-year deal as the company is looking to establish a long-term relationship with the championship. Until 2005, Sony held the WRC license, producing several rally titles that were limited to the Playstation platform.
