Brands Hatch & Oulton Park Coming to iRacing

With almost every major track in the United States already available or in development, iRacing.com is now pushing towards extending their track portfolio’s share of European race tracks, announcing two major additions to the simulation’s lineup. Brands Hatch and Oulton Park, two popular British road courses, will be available next year, joining Silverstone which is still the only European track available.

Laser-scanning & data collection of both tracks will start in July, the tracks are planned to be released in early 2010. Both Brands Hatch & Oulton Park are owned by Motorsport Vision, a group that also owns Snetterton & Cadwell Park.

The 3,7 kilometer Brands Hatch circuited hosted 12 Formula One Grand Prix and is well known as a touring car venue these days, hosting both the WTCC & DTM. Oulton Park is a 4.3 kilometer track that primarily accommodates British national series such as the BTCC and the British GT.

Should be great. It’ll be interesting to see how close to their real counterparts the current Simbin and modding community versions of these tracks are.

Oh man. Now I really wish I could afford to go back to iRacing.

    Especially Oulton Park  .

Great news! If I dont give in & join iRacing before they come out, I will erm… when they do. I just wish it was a little cheaper for extra tracks & cars but hey, they are very good. I suppose I could sell some spare organs or my ass!
