Old thread, but god I can't resist... 8 THOUSAND dollars for that? These motion chairs have the most retarded prices I've ever seen. Even if I was a millionaire there's no way I'd spend the money on this.

Maybe I'm just getting old, but I don't see any reason to spend this kind of money on ANYTHING virtual, when instead, you could spend this money on a 400+hp notchback that can LITERALLY launch your ass from 0-60 in less than 4 seconds.

Wow, so all the FFB and stuff AND extra motion sickness!

I agree with Crobol. That looks retarded. You drive that thing at the Nurburgring and they'll be pulling bits of you out the unit for weeks.

lol crobol, you sound like a back dated Air force colonel who decry the use of state of the art motion generator for flight SIM use in the air force to train pilots as UNREALISTIC & in which one of the trainee reply " GO FLY A KITE THEN ". OK OK I think you get my point.

If what's mainly 2D forcefeedback (cars) can not be done correctly with a platform, it doesn't make sense to think that requiring yet another dimension to be simulated (planes) will be any more realistic using the very same hardware...

crobol. You cannot expect it to be realistic in every way. It is staying still, whilst a real car is moving. It isn't designed to replicate exactly what a car does, it is designed to apply the forces to the driver in the best way possible given the limitations of a stationary computer.

In my opinion this kind of Motion Sim are better adapted to Fly simulations than Race sims.

See the video an think if a real driver moves like that in his cokpit.

I spoke with Bob, one of the owners, he was very informative and very friendly. I think the entire unit with all you need, except computer, monitor, and controls (can use a G25) will run just under 8K. Compared to a CXC version base of about 24K I think this one is much xloser to the dedicated Sim User.

I'm seriously thinking about ordering one, but my only problem at this time is no support for GTR2/GTR-Evo which is a must for me.

I think we should watch this group closely, as the system is very quit (not like a FREX) and very reliable. Bob infored me that they use mostly automotive parts. I'm one gamer very excited about these guys and this system.

I'd guess those are engine, tranny and aero braking effects.

Did you guys also have the strange impression that the thing moved before the pedals were pressed ?

I had that feeling everytime the car brakes. The thing goes forward quite well, and the foot presses the pedal with a little lag.

Am i being paranoid here? lol
