Best of rFactor 2008 – Video

Screenshot artist 6e66o has taken up the challenge of creating a video for rFactorcentral’s Video of the year competition.

Below is his entry into the competition, showing off the most popular cars and tracks that have been released for rFactor in 2008.

    Totally brilliant 6e66o. I thought it would be. I had thought of making my own entry using rF cars but of course a 3D rendered video as opposed to an in-game one.

    But I, like others would have had to really go some to beat that one. I’d be interested now to see other entries.
    Best of luck, but I suspect you won’t need much of that :)

    Ditto above, another brillaitn piece GeGGo. I loved the camera work and framing at 2:56, LeMans. And some great choices for voice at the start. :wink:

    It sure wont be an easy decision to pick a winner,
    as there will be lots of good videos.

    One question, at 3:41 the CTDP 2006 the driver has animated arms, are they available anywhere or is it things to come?

    @ Montie, that could be anything. Im not sure what mod it is, you’ll have to get GeGGo to tel you. The way I see it, it could the F1RFT mod, or the LigaF1 mod, which both have moving arms, much like that. Or yeah, it could be CTDP, as they have moving arms being made and tested as we speak, iirc
    .

    The best sim racing video ever! It’s beautifully done and perfectly captures the atmosphere around sim racing. Love the match cuts with the Ferrari logos and the F1 footage.

    This gave me goosebumps… I also think I love you, 6e660! :tongue:

    im glad you feel the Idea of the Video :grin:

    I too recommend the HD Version Download.
    Actually I uploaded the 1280*720 Version on Youtube,
    so im not exactly sure why it doesnt show up :roll:

    It´s an Addon for CTDP 2006,
    which will probably be released with the upcoming patch.
