Best Looking rFactor Crash Ever – Video

VirtualR reader and rFactor video maker stabiz has put together a very interesting video, showing that the often criticized damage model in rFactor can produce very stunning results.

Using Some1 and Niels_at_home’s Toyota Supra MKIV that comes with many detachable parts, the action in his video comes close to what more recent titles offers in terms of damage. Enjoy!

Which version of the Spa-Francorchamps track is this? Where can I download? Thanks!

  • stabiz

Thanks, guys! I read the thread over at RSC about damage multiplier, and all I did was set the the line “QUICK Damage multiplier” in the .plr to 200%. (I set it to 500% but it resets to 200) Its massive fun with open wheelers too. But be careful when rubbing panels, hehe.

Stabiz, you’re an artist. Really, your videos are great.
Thanks to Niels and Some1 too, for gave us one of most beautiful and realistic mods ever.

For me, visual damage modeling is the least important thing in a sim.

Yep. The damage in RF is one of the few things that doesn’t suck. The FFB and AI are the biggest problems.

And that crash would have been good if A) the pieces hadn’t gone THROUGH the track, and B)if the car hadn’t flown about ten feet in the air.
