Become A rFactor 2 AI Driver

Image Space Incorporated is giving 20 sim racers the chance to get AI drivers in their rFactor 2 simulation named after them.

The chosen sim racers will have AI cars named after them in the updated rTrainer series, the names will stay in rFactor 2 for the duration of the title’s run.

Interested sim racers must provide the following info:

- Full (REAL) name as it will appear in the software
- Color selection (for car design) from Red, White or Blue only.
- Car number selection. First come, first served (by post order of those chosen), give three numbers and if all three of yours are taken by the time of your post, we’ll choose another.
- A short explanation of why you should be chosen.

To apply, post your application in the ISI forums, entries will be accepted until Friday night.

maybe a better idea would be to add real racers names who made history like Ayrton Senna and Jim Clark and tune them accordingly to their skills.

  • Juhan Voolaid

Or former presidents of USA. No – the more unknown the name is, the better.

For Christ sake, they need to get their head out of their ass. Work on finishing what have started…naming an A.I driver after a sim racer…..good grief.

I’m not much of a programmer, but I’ll dig into the code and see what I can do. /sarcasm

    Good grief indeed.

To use some names, you need permission from the estate or agency which operates them. The Ayrton Senna Foundation, for example, doesn’t care how much of a tribute you want to make.

well JustaDude makes a good point.

I nominate Rob Prange. Surely his service to the sim racing community should make a solid case as to why he must have an AI Driver named for him.

Posted mine, this should be interesting.
If they use the names for a universal repos of AI driver names then that would be sweet.

I think people who have been the most active in ISI’s forums with there input on bugs or improvements should be at the top of the list of selections. That should pretty much exclude me but good luck to anyone who has submitted an application

Not really. ISIs programmers will be hard at work on the game code regardless of what happens to the AI driver names. This won’t affect upcoming bug fixes or new features in any way.

No, not at all, for any sim, ever. Honestly, a development team can do two things at once.

Sure Rob is a good dude and will be included in PCars for sure for his work done there. One thing I am surprised at is that we have not heard from you in a while on the WMD forums. I am sure there is a number of forum members that would like to hear more on your products

So, a PR guy, that doesn’t know how to code, is going to program a sim. Seems legit.

Don’t ask me why, but people believe that. For a genre that’s supposed to attract a more sophisticated audience, there are some clueless sim racers.
