Base Performance GT Simulator – Article

A few days ago, I posted a video of Racing.GT’s visit to Base Performance where the guys could sample the company’s brand new GT simulator.

As promised, Racing.GT has now written up a detailed article on their experience in the professional grade facility, allowing everyone a little peek into a much higher level of racing simulation.

If you haven’t already, make sure to watch the video below as well before checking out the article here.

Hmmm? Seems like the car has a good amount of grip. Also those pedals are pretty loud. Still is this planned to be a marketed software?

rf pro is not needed for driver training. rfactor pro is for manufacturers who want to link their car development software to a simulator to test things before building them.

AFAIK is rFpro is basically rF that the teams and manufacturers can tailor to their own needs

  • Anonymous

rFactor can already be tailored in a big way.
Simulations for drivers just need a perfect hardware setup and a track that closely resembles the real tracks.
No need for hooking it up to a data center for realtime output to the sim.

For most need 3 projectors or screens is already more than enough.

I agree what we the consumer get from our sim developers is perfectly fine.

  • Tim Wheatley

rF1 in the video and photos.

    After some tweakinh/modding it’s good enough…
Perfectly fine Sim still needs to be invented.

Is see at the orginal article that the screen is stiched at 2 places, making it a triple projector setup.

  • Chris Partridge

Yes – three screens are running.
