RMT member BariCZ is working on new cubemaps for GTR2 similar to what 6e66o is doing for rFactor.
With assistance by him, BariCZ has managed to archive quite stunning results, his cubemaps even react to the sun position, causing overbright when illuminated by direct light. You can see some examples below, including comparison shots showing the Chrylser Viper and Ferrari FXX.

iRacing has released first screenshots of Brands Hatch, the second European track to make it into their online racing simulation.
