2XL Games and THQ are working on bringing one of the most exciting rallyes of the world to interested racers worldwide – The Baja California 1000. Even if the name might suggest it, the rallye is not run in America but on Baja Peninsula in Mexico. The rallye is known to be one of the grueling events the motorsport calendar has to offer as the cars race with high speeds through very rough terrain.
The game is supposed to bring “bring revolutionary physics” while being easily accessible and offer enough to keep the casual gamer happy. The drivable terrain consist of almost hundred square-kilometres, 40 different vehicles in eight classes can be used to compete. The game will be released for XBOX360 and the Playstation 3 – PC racers are (once again) locked out. The release is scheduled for August 2008.
