Audi TT-R DTM 2003 – 24h Version Previews

Schraubzwinge, Alekss & friends have released new previews of their Audi TT-R DTM 2003 for GTR2, showing off the 24h version of the car.

Based on the DTM TT-R, this car was modified for Audi’s assault on the 2003 & 2004 Nürburgring 24h race, modifications included bigger headlights, a different wing, larger rear tires and other details.

Despite the factory effort, the TT-R failed to win the marathon event, falling short of beating Opel in 2003 and BMW in 2004.

The TT-R marked Audi’s return to DTM racing, first entered as privateer car by Abt and later as a full works effort to take the fight to Mercedes & Opel. The car even had a successful life beyond the DTM as the TT-R was also used for Audi’s works effort at the Nürburgring 24h race in 2003 & 2004.
