Assetto Corsa – Thrustmaster Hardware Arrived

Kunos Simulazioni has received a big batch of Thrustmaster hardware, making the French company the second sim racing hardware vendor to be closely involved in the development of Assetto Corsa.

In the past, we`ve already seen Fanatec being involved in the early development of Assetto Corsa, including the usage of their simulator for a promo event at the Nürburgring. Now Thrustmaster wants to ensure their products will be perfectly matched to the new sim as the Kunos guys have received a wide range of both current and older Thrustmaster hardware as you can see below.

Assetto Corsa will be powered by a brand new DirectX 11 graphics engine and will come with advanced features such as blur & DOF. The title will offer extensive modding support as well as ten laser-scanned tracks and fully licensed cars as well as AI – A first for a Kunos title

Its good to see sim hardware manufacturers working with software developers, after all without the software we wouldn’t need their hardware!

I am so pumped up about this sim.  I’ve been spending a lot of time with Netkar lately due to the awesome physics and tire model.  It’s so much fun just lapping by myself, whereas other sims are boring when alone on track.    I can’t wait to experience what Assetto Corsa has in store for us.

I would like to see Logitech working together with sim developers too.

Me to  , I think we have raced a couple of times this week on Newbury in the ossela ?

NKP works fine as a sim now , I have had lots of good races this week and the quality / side by side racing is allot better due to the depth and feel you get with the game.

The stat tracking is also really cool with you being able to see exactly how you match up to others you can also grab tracks right away without any fuss right from the server list.

That doesn’t mean they are working together. I can have a Ferrari and don’t know how the engine of it works…you get my point. I have a Logitech, anyway :)
