Assetto Corsa – Modding Editor & Apps Preview

Among its many features, the movability is surely one aspect of Kunos Simulationi’s Assetto Corsa title that the sim racing community is looking forward to the most.

Now is the first time we ever see some of the modding tools in action thanks to a video captured by DrivingItalia.net that show off both the editor and the title’s app functionality.

Unfortunately, the narration of the video is in Italian but even if you don’t understand what’s being said, the features do look rather impressive.

Assetto Corsa will be powered by a brand new DirectX 11 graphics engine and will come with advanced features such as blur & DOF. The title will offer extensive modding support as well as ten laser-scanned tracks and fully licensed cars as well as AI – A first for a Kunos title.

These guys want the crown of simracing.

It looks that way from everything we have seen.

      – Solid physics ( Would think so based of the quality of NKP and FVA)

      – Minimal functional and modern UI

      – solid net code

      – Modern graphics that stay focused on the key aspects

      – laser scanned tracks

      – A good spread of Awesome cars that were picked due to pure driving pleasure not just because they could “get the IP to them”

      – Fast load times

      – Support for tablets

      – Proper mod support

I’m going to really enjoy playing Pcars and Race room but I think AC is going to be the game that delivers what allot of pc sim racers have being asking for.

      Also the video has CC

If I turn on the cc then he talks about the “toilets in games” “gay eyes” and “noodles in real time weather” xD xD xD

“Serialize doll close up”, “swollen breasts” “field of chainsaws”
Well I’m not sure what they’re working on but it seem quite powerful and unique.

About the video; the interface is even more versatile than the one in LFS so we won’t be able to complain if we don’t like it by default which is great.

I would love to see field of chainsaws!!!

Can’t we have a field of breasts? Failing that, the AC tech demo?

  • GamerMuscle

Its so good that we have a developer like Kunos that simply “gets it”

It also Looks like Kunus are working on the most advanced pong simulator to date. (3:34s)
