It looks quite good, no doubt! After a bunch of gmotor2 titles with very outdated graphics engine, this is a feast for my eyes. That’s enough for me, I don’t need pCARS or GT5 graphics to enjoy!

This seems the same content used in Ferrari Virtual Academy…as the 458…:)

My favorite track in simracing along with Vallelunga. I can’t wait to drive the 458 around those 2 tracks :)

honestly, not at the same level of iracing tracks… but it’s in the physics and dynamics of the track that we’re interested right? come on march!

Somehow I think the track looks a bit better……;-) Although the engine sounds for the 458 are actually very similar.

Nothing wrong ’bout that. Most people wanted to drive the FVA cars in a proper sim with a multiplayer (or AI), setup options and without limitations. The only matter was if Ferrari allows the license to be used also in other titles… but I suppose that relationships between Kunos and Ferrari are quite good.

not to mention outdated physics, sounds, GUI.

I didn’t know iracing was in DX11 and had changeable time of day with dynamic shadows…Ac is on a different level for sure

Mugello is one of my favorite tracks, very technical first part after the first corner and then some semi and fast bends. Quite challenging to get perfect!

Really looking forward to a variety of accurately modeled tracks like this to go with what appears to be leading physics and driving model!

Death? Why? I am enjoying SO MUCH driving P&G3 mod for GTR2, and it is a gmotor2 engine! Honestly that mod keeps me in touch with simracing while I’m waiting for AC or GTR3. So as you can see gmotor2 still can provide awesome driving feel and physics, no need for death wishes or something. :)

And it would be a bad time to be a dad of a baby daugter. :D

Death was a bit strong I agree, but it’s the same as the current gen consoles, people are screaming for something new and it’s understandable really, how long have we had G-motor now? It’s still welcome, but not in that old recycled state as much as it used to be, it won’t die for some time, but still it’s nice to have something a little fresher, even ISI believe this or rF2 wouldn’t be in public beta.

I agree. When the new crop of simulators will sport the same content as P&G3 (or maybe something more) then I’ll happily attend the Gmotor2 funeral. But for now Gmotor2 sims are the only ones where I can find 60′s and 70′s gt cars, 70′s F1 car, F5000 cars and so on. There is a lot of work ahead for these simulators before they can even start to produce the kind of enjoyment I am getting out of the older ones.

DX11 doesn’t necessarily make things look better. I think Alexandre is refering to texturing.

Will be interesting to see which gets released first, AC or iRacing’s dynamic lighting. :)

Give me a break, iRacing has set the benchmark for taking forever. Considering AC was initiated a little over one year ago, and we are almost 20+ months in to the NTM with little changed to it- I think you may want rethink your statement.

If you think I’m totally happy with every single thing, you haven’t been reading my posts. You honestly think reminding a troll that the unfulfilled promise of NTM on all cars is more than a year old (ie, worse than he said it was) is singing their praises?

Getting a bit tired of this anti-rFactor flaming now. You want to big up AC, then go ahead, but it doesn’t need to be at the expense of rFactor.
You’re just trying to provoke people with posts like that. Play nice.

why is it anti rfactor flaming? its not. Everything ive said in my post about rfactor is totally true. Just because something negative is said about something doesnt make it ‘trolling’ or ‘flaming’.

What is yours and everyones obsession with being so positive and nice about absolutely everything? Its pathetic.

It is a FACT that the graphics from rfactor 2 are already outdated, and a dissapointment, the Physics are very very similar to Rfactor 1, with virtually no tangible improvement, they still have the poor low speed grip issues, you still cannot drive the cars properly on the limit, balancing inputs, like you can with netkar pro, or Real Life.

It DOES have an awful outdated menu system, and the cars released by ISI so far have absolutely terrible sounds.

Oh not to mention the complete mess which is the FFB in RF2, with virtually no feel, and especially with the F2 car, it has been proven with force tests that it is completely broken (just go on the F2 forum). The only car that works well in RF2 is the 60′s F1 car.

Sorry but this is the truth, and i am perfectly entitled to say these things because they are true. So what, youre now putting a ban on anyone criticising rfactor? Get real.

It is very clear from what we’ve seen from AC already that it has better graphics, a better menu system, and better thought out, not to mention made by the same guys who made netkar pro and so will have the best physics of any sim by a long way.

Im not trying to provoke anyone, no one has to respond to anything i say. they have a choice. Also i didnt even mention rfactor anyway LOL, i said GMOTOR, referring to the Engine which powers a bunch of simgames.

You can’t go around calling people deluded because they want to play a sim that you don’t.

I could re-write your original post here to say pretty much the exact same thing without it sounding anywhere near as provocative. You however just dive in there.

It is you who seems to have an obsession with pointing out differences in rF2 to AC. Graphics and menu’s are not the only things that go into making a sim. Physics and FFB are important and rFactor 2′s will stand up on it’s own regardless of what AC produces. Your opinion differs on that obviously but a lot of simmers are happy with how it is at the moment.

You are one of these people who has to put one sim down in favour of another. As if it’s not possible that both can be enjoyed for their own merits regardless of if one has inferior graphics, sound or whatever. You get one sim in your head that you want to favour then spend your time knocking the others to big up the one you like.

Like I said, have your opinion I couldn’t care less what it is. I do care when I think the post is there to provoke a reaction from others. Attention seeking, that’s all your post was.
