Assetto Corsa – First Lotus 98T Previews

Kunos Simulazioni has released new previews of their Assetto Corsa simulation, giving us a first look at the Lotus 98T F1 car.

The previews show the car’s suspension detail, the 98T is best known for being driven by Ayrton Senna during the 1986 Formula One World Championship season.

Assetto Corsa will be powered by a brand new DirectX 11 graphics engine and will come with advanced features such as blur & DOF. The title will offer extensive modding support as well as ten laser-scanned tracks and fully licensed cars as well as AI – A first for a Kunos title.

Crazy detail, I love how developers are steeping up their game with this kind of quality work :D

Yeah after seeing this and the BMW Z4 from pCARS, I was just going to say the same thing.  Polygon paradise :)

Polygon paradise is a nice alliteration :)

this includes more polygons than a whole carmodel of only about 5 years ago :O – haha, maybe now everyone will understand why modding is startint to take so much longer :)

It whould be nice if we could inspect those details under the hood, like a virtual garage that you can dissaseble the car. otherwise what’s the point of this detail of you can never see it.

One of the cool things in NKP was the doom mode (or whatever it was called) where you could get out of the car in the pits and walk around……could even walk the whole track if you wanted to (slightly too hardcore for me!).
Anyway, I hope they expand on that concept. Perhaps under the skin inspection could be something thats linked to it.

Polygons should be like pixels… invisible but visible.

    Looks great!
