Assetto Corsa – Complete BMW Lineup Announced

Kunos Simulazioni has released the complete lineup of BMW cars that will be present in their Assetto Corsa simulation.

All in all, Assetto Corsa will feature eight cars from the Bavarian manufacturer, including both racing cars and street machinery. The cars will be split as six cars will be included in the initial release with two others following up as DLC content:

Assetto Corsa 1.0
BMW Z4 E89
BMW M3 E92
BMW M3 E30 EVO
BMW 1M
BMW Z4 GT3
BMW M3 GT2

Future DLC
BMW 1M Safey Car
BMW E30 DTM

To go along with the news, Kunos has also released a big batch of previews you can feast your eyes on below!

Assetto Corsa will be powered by a brand new DirectX 11 graphics engine and will come with advanced features such as blur & DOF. The title will offer extensive modding support as well as ten laser-scanned tracks and fully licensed cars as well as AI – A first for a Kunos title.

Assetto Corsa will be available in Q1 2013, the title will feature licensed cars from manufacturers such as Ferrari, BMW & Lotus. Assetto Corsa is set to be released in Q1 2013, a first “technology preview” demo is due to be out in a few weeks.

    WOW, impressive!!

    The visuals are impressive and this BMW lineup is great!

    I’m just so exited about what is potentially the most realistic road car simulation the PC has ever seen! Recently we have been spoiled with a handful of very good racing sim’s but there has never been a true “hardcore” simulation of road cars!

    AC has an excellent race and road car lineup and they look stunning, what we heard and seen about physics it should be top notch!

    End Q1 is SOOOOOO CLOSE!!! But seeing this kind of content makes it feels like ages away!! :-)

    I love DLC setup, that keeps the sim fresh with new content and keeps you comming back to try out new content!

    Hopefully they charge for DLC as well at a reasonable level so they get the motivation to keep adding this level of quality cars for a long time based on what the community wants the most! If they charge for it they could pay for more licenses as well! Id love to see the McLaren F1 road car in here!! (and the new P1 as DLC once the real car is out!). A complete DRM setup of classic race cars would be awesome as well!

    Why, oh why, KS?!

    Why do you keep posting low detail shots, you can’t tell us this is all you can do, we have seen much better shots. I can not understand how bad screenshots should support your marketing efforts. Almost all shots with the M3 GT2 are low poly, low detail with washed out AA textures paired with missing or not fitting lightning. The first screen (01.jpg) is even as bad as rF2.
    Come on, KS. Don’t let us down!

    I’m not too fussed about BMW (except they make incredible engine noises!) I’m just overjoyed to see a suitable line-up of race spec AND road going vehicles as standard content. If only ISI could show some love for the humble road car.
