ARC_Team Carbon Sequential Shifter – New Video

DrivingItalia.net has visited the guys over at ARC_Team to check out their brand new Carbon Sequential Shifter.

The Carbon shifter is designed to provide the same mechanical feel and resistance that a real race car shifter would offer. It’s available for a special launch price of 140€ without USB controller or 180€ with controller respectively.

I guess I’m a bit confused… Without the USB controller, how do you get it to connect to a PC? Do they mean without a USB cable or what?

Either way… Nice looking units. I may consider one, the only issue I have with my G25 is the sequential shift doesn’t work… this would make for a nice sub!

Without USB controller is meant if you have already an usb board like the bodnar controller and want to connect it to the shifter, you will save just the board costs ;-)

This sure looks like a proper piece if hardware!!

If i was not going for a all platforms setup I would have been very tempted to get one of these!

Ahh okay I get it. Thank you for the explanation!

Is this based on the frex? Got design ideas or anything from frex? Or is it 10000000% newly scratch based idea?

Regardless their stuff is way too espensive for me, but just wondering.

By the way, they have an INSANE brake kit.

Unlike anyones in the market, not even ECCI, FREX hydro, or CST.

They have a very good pdf file write up on the brakes, and why they believe their system is the best. Very expensive though. Very interesting read though.

No, is a totally different concept. Only external forms are similar but nothing else.

At the moment it work great with Pc as standalone peripherial but we think will be possible it work also with ps3 platform. For sure is possible make compatibility with ps3 right now if the customer send us his wheel because we made a modification on electronic on the base.
