AE86 Club 1.0 – Released

Following a public beta test that generated very positive feedback, gonzo-kool has released his AE86 Club mod, bringing the Toyota Corolla Levin AE86 touring car to rFactor.

Back in the 80s, the rear-wheel driven Corolla Levin was a very popular choice for Group N touring car racing. The car is still one of the most popular racing cars in Japan and can still be found in competition today.

The mod includes the car in both historical and semi-fictional liveries, giving us a full field of cars to race with.

Indeed, I can’t seem to find a change log anywhere but I can’t wait to try it out. It’s very high quality work.

This mod is excellent! Fantastic model, great physics, superb sounds, even great AI (by rFactor standards, at least). Nothing like a light, low-powered, FR touring car for fun, close racing. And is it just me, or can Minilite-style wheels make just about any car look better..?

I searched a lot of time, but wasn’t able to find the track of the screenshot…I suppose it is Suzuka Circuit, but I never saw THAT version before…Maybe someone can tell me where to get this Track?!

Com8 Nordschleife 2009 – Five New Previews

After being busy with other track projects for quite a while, Com8 has released some new previews of a very much anticipated track for rFactor - The Nürburgring Nordschleife 2009. Based on the original Simbin version, Com8's 2009 version will contain many changes such as new textures & shaders, remodelled curbs, the removal of all fictional advertisement boards and lots of trackside objects. New features include the layout used for the Nürburgring 24 Hour race as well as new bumps and shadows. Grand Slam 1.0 – Released

Following the two betas released a year ago, Team Players have released the final version of their Grand Slam mod for rFactor, bringing the DP class of the 2006 Grand Am Rolex Sports Car Series to the simulation. The mod includes four different Daytona Prototype models made by Riley, Crawford, Fabcar and Doran. The cars are powered by various V8 engines from manufacturers such as BMW, Porsche & Lexus. Targa Florio for rFactor – Lots of New Previews

6e66o has released a new batch of preview shots of the Targa Florio conversion project, showing us two edited and plenty of unedited shots of the legendary Italian track in rFactor. The Porsche 904 featured in the shots has been made by HistorX, creators of the Historic GT & Touring Car mod for rFactor, who have recently announced a co-operation with the Targa Florio conversion team. Rouen les Essarts All Platforms – Released

Virtua_LM has released GT Legends, GTR2 and RACE07/GTR Evolution versions of their popular Rouen les Essarts track for rFactor, bringing the spectacular historic race track to Simbin's most popular simulations. The legendary French circuit is a high speed semi-permanent racetrack, famous for its fast sweeps and the brickyard hairpin. rFactor 2 – Plenty of New Previews

Three months after showing us the last two of rFactor 2 screenshots, Image Space Incorporated has released a bunch of new preview material of their upcoming simulation. The previews show the flexibility of the engine as several forms of motorsport are portrayed, including a Kart race, a vintage Formula Car at Spa Francorchamps and a Renault hillclimb car.
