Birkuc has released a first virtual version of the Yas Marina Circuit Abu Dhabi, a brand new venue that will host the Formula One season finale 2009.
Based on La Plata’s Grand Prix 4 track, Birkuc has fixed several things and added new details to the rfactor version, below is a HD preview video for you to check out.
Like usual with those very early versions of new Grand Prix tracks, the track isn’t very pretty nor polished yet. But if you´re keen to try the brand new track, this one’s for you.

Ferrari Launches Ferrari Virtual Academy 2010
Ferrari has announced their Virtual Academy 2010, giving Formula One fans all around the globe access to a true-to-life simulation of their current Ferrari F10 Formula One race car.
The Virtual Academy will include Ferrari's current Formula One challenger as well as three laser-scanned (!) tracks - Fiorano, Mugello & the Nürburgring. The Academy comes with a global hotlap competition as the fastest drivers can win Ferrari merchandise every week. The five quickest drivers will even be invited to Maranello, participating in the official Ferrari Driving Academy.

iRacing.com – First High-Resolution Williams FW31 Preview
A week ago, iRacing's Steve Myers included a first small in-game preview of the upcoming Williams FW31 Formula One car in his latest cat herder blog.

Formula Truck by Reiza Studios – First Preview Video
A month ago, Reiza Studios released a first preview showing a Formula Truck Series truck at Interlagos, Now, the studio has released a first preview video of what seems to be their first full-blown simulation title.
The video shows the 1000hp trucks in action on various tracks, more info on the upcoming title is not yet available. The Brazilian Formula Truck Series features racing trucks from manufacturers such as VW, Mercedes-Benz, Iveco, Scania, Ford & Volvo. The series races exclusively in South America with most rounds in Brazil and one in Argentina.

Zandvoort 2010 Masters Edition – First Previews
After releasing his majorly-overhauled version of Le Mans 2004, Riches has picked up the work on another track, aiming to bring Zandvoort to rFactor & Race On.
Made with over 1000 photographs and aerial photos, the scratch-made track will feature microbumps, custom-modelled trackside objects and high-resolution textures aiming to match the graphical quality of the iRacing version. The track is being made to replicate its looks during the 2010 Zandvoort Masters weekend, Riches expects the download to be available in a few months. Gran Turismo 5 – 63 Screenshots Released
Sony has released 63 brand new screenshots of Polyphony Digital's upcoming Gran Turismo 5 title, accompanying the massive amount of info that has been revealed in the past 48 hours.
The shots include a wide variety of cars, from the recently-revealed karting mode to NASCAR, street cars and a bunch of very tasty looking classical sports cars at Le Mans.
Gran Turismo 5 will be bringing 1000 cars and over 60 tracks to the Playstation 3, including new features such as damage, weather and day/night effects. GT5 will be one of the first six Playstation 3 games to be available in 3D. ...

And why go to the trouble of modeling a driver when the arms don’t move? It just looks retarded.
As for the track I see nothing wrong with the draw distance. It just looks like your standard boring new F1 track.

btw, UncleChuckle, rF doesn’t support proper moving arms. CTDP are working on modelling some arms to be attatched to the wheel, as we speak.

There is no track surface, it is all perfectly flat. I know we can’t expect him to see the future but excuses don’t make it a good track.
Also, isn’t the pit lane meant to be underground? and there is no hotel building going over the track.
BTW, the car looks like it is flying because shadows are turned off because they are the biggest fps eater.
