Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2009 0.9 – Released

Posted on March 17th, 2009 in

Birkuc has released a first virtual version of the Yas Marina Circuit Abu Dhabi, a brand new venue that will host the Formula One season finale 2009.

Based on La Plata’s Grand Prix 4 track, Birkuc has fixed several things and added new details to the rfactor version, below is a HD preview video for you to check out.

Like usual with those very early versions of new Grand Prix tracks, the track isn’t very pretty nor polished yet. But if you´re keen to try the brand new track, this one’s for you.

Hope the draw distance doesn’t look like that in the game!

Nice vid, this car seems to be flying off the ground :sd:

    It’s a flying car!

And why go to the trouble of modeling a driver when the arms don’t move? It just looks retarded.

As for the track I see nothing wrong with the draw distance. It just looks like your standard boring new F1 track.

And the sound on that video blew my ears off. Volume difference in vids is so annoying…

btw, UncleChuckle, rF doesn’t support proper moving arms. CTDP are working on modelling some arms to be attatched to the wheel, as we speak.

This is the first LEGAL thing Birkuc released… Originally made for F1 Challenge.

There is no track surface, it is all perfectly flat. I know we can’t expect him to see the future but excuses don’t make it a good track.

Also, isn’t the pit lane meant to be underground? and there is no hotel building going over the track.

BTW, the car looks like it is flying because shadows are turned off because they are the biggest fps eater.
