6e66o’s Motion Simulator – New Video

Three weeks ago, I posted a video of 6e66o’s very impressive motion simulator cockpit.

Now, a new video of it has been released as 6e66o has recently bought a GoPro HD camera that is often use in racing to record in-board footage.

The video below shows the chest-mounted camera in action with his simulator, creating a very intense video that comes rather close to real in-board footage.

It looks real, but it sounds even realer than real! ^_^

That heel and toe looks surreal to me… I never get the hang of it

    great video and nice setup

but it looks like skating on ice

hopefully that track makes it to rF2 and historix as well as ffb and feel has improved leaps and bounds over rf1

weird monitor choice considering input lag when using lcd ?

Are you heel’and’toe-ing the right way? Seems your off the clutch already when you hit the gas to match the rev with your heel. Are you doing this with autoclutch off and a tranny Mod of somekind because it would not work right shifting like this I gues if you would. Isn’t heel and toeing to make the rev of the engine match the rev of the gearbox before releasing the clutch?

Call me crazy..but IMO a well set up rf1 ffb (realfeel & leo mix) in combination with an excellent mod like the one shown in the video (historX) is very close to rF2.

I am running the monitor in game mode and turned all post processing off,
which reduces the input lag to a point where its basically not noticeable.

I dont know if it´s the “right way”.
But it works for me. I am using the grinding tranny mod and no auto clutch.

Yep, that is the point of rev matching. If you want to really get proper you would double clutch too. Double clutching you match the engine, input and output of the gearbox. To double clutch you do it in this order:
    Press clutch
    Move selector to neutral
    Release Clutch
Blip (because the clutch is released you are not just reving the engine but also the input shaft)
Press the clutch again (hence the name double clutch)
    Move selector down one gear.
    Release clutch

This method is needed with dog gears or a trany with worn out syncros. I had a gear box with syncros that were so bad I had now other way to downshift but to double clutch. I drove it that way for a year. Now I can’t break the habit and drive all cars this way. Which isn’t really a bad habit as it reduces the wear on the syncros.

OMP Superturismo? If it is I am now officially avundsjuk. I’ve wanted one for my G25 for ages…

Fair enough and I agree with you about historix (imo one of the best mods ever released for rf1)

….something about rf2 ffb makes it so much more connected to the road then rf1 nothing else compares (maybe live for speed) everything else is just reacting to what is happening on screen

     OMP Trecento.

G25 pedals are to bad to do it right without breaking your ankle… :(

Gas pedal should be lower than break pedal to be able to press the gas when fully breaking.
