50 Million Copies of Gran Turismo Sold

Sony has confirmed a new milestone reached by their flagship racing game Gran Turismo. Over 2 million worldwide sales of Gran Turismo 5 Prologe have pushed the overall sales of GT games beyond the 50 million mark.

Developed by Polyphony Digital, Gran Turismo has become one of the trademark Playstation games, starting with the very first edition on the PSX in 1997. Since then, the concept of an easily accessible but quite realistic racing game has been copied by many studios including Sega and Microsoft without ever reaching the quality of the original. The line of Gran Turismo games will continue with GT5 which is due to be released in 2010.

Reiza Studios Announce Formula Armaroli for rFactor

Back in December, a new simulation software studio opened its doors as Reiza Studios officially picked up business. Now, the studio has revealed their first project, announcing the Formula Armaroli race car for rFactor. Made in co-operation with Armaroli Simulators, the Formula Armaroli car is a fictional open-wheel race car modelled after 80s Formula One machinery. rFactor 2 – Six User Interface Screenshots

Jessica, Darin & Shaun of InsideSimRacing.tv were recently joined by Image Space Incorporated's Gjon Camaj who visited the guys for an interview in an upcoming SRT episode. ISI's head-honcho did not come empty-handed though as Camaj showed off rFactor 2's user interface for the very first time. VLN 2009 by Team NLC – Massive Batch of Renders

Markus & Valiante have released their Formula One 1985 mod for rFactor, bringing one of the most spectacular F1 seasons to the simulation. The mod includes almost the full field of the 1985 season, only the Alfa Romeo 184T & the Renault RE60 have not been included.
